Usage

Settings → Usage brings together workspace consumption statistics. It explains processed volume, which messages consume balance, remaining credits, overages, alerts, and complete email exports.

Access

Only users with Dashboard access may open Usage or request an export. Permission is checked again when the file is generated.

Billing summary

The top section separates consumption from charges:

  • Credits consumed: balance used during the period.
  • Credits available: included credits minus consumed credits.
  • Estimated additional charge: overage including tax.
  • Reset date: end of the active period.

For enterprise plans, Platica shows messages considered for consumption and states that charges are defined by contract. No automatic credit allowance or overage is calculated.

Message activity

The main stats show:

  • Processed: every recorded message, including failures.
  • Charged: billable messages that consume balance.
  • Service: messages that are not campaign templates.
  • Campaign: marketing, utility, or authentication template messages.
  • Not charged: non-billable messages, normally failed sends; they do not affect consumption.

Failed messages remain visible for operational reporting but do not consume credits or create overages.

Daily-volume chart

Group the chart by type, channel, template category, campaign, or status.

Include failed messages is enabled by default. Turn it off to show only messages that consume balance.

Periods

  • Billing: active billing period.
  • Previous period: immediately preceding equal-length window.
  • Select dates: custom calendar range.

Breakdown

The table shows messages, messages not charged, credits used, overage, and percentage change versus the previous period. Enterprise hides only credits and overage; failures and percentage change remain available.

Internal identifiers are resolved to readable agent, channel, campaign, template, and user names whenever possible.

Alerts

The Alerts tab sends notifications by email and inside Platica. A workspace may have up to 20 rules.

Available metrics include monthly total consumption, 30-day daily average, daily spikes, plan percentage (not enterprise), messages per user, and campaign size.

Consumption rules may be scoped to one channel, message type, or template category. Rules can be enabled, disabled, edited, or deleted.

Export data

Export data, next to the Usage title, creates an asynchronous request. A Cloud Function generates the file separately from normal traffic, so it does not block agents or dashboards.

Periods and formats

Choose Billing, Previous period, or a custom range and generate:

  • CSV: ZIP containing one CSV per section.
  • Excel: .xlsx workbook with separate worksheets.
  • JSONL: recordType records for technical analysis.

Available data

  • usage and billing summary;
  • daily series;
  • one normalized row per transaction;
  • conversations and autonomy;
  • actors and workspace users.

Message content is never exported. Agent, channel, campaign, template, user, and contact names are normalized to avoid arbitrary IDs.

Delivery and retention

    1. Choose the period, format, and sections.
    2. Choose whether to include failed messages.
    3. Confirm the request.
    4. Platica generates the file asynchronously.
    5. You receive an email with the download link.

The recipient is always the authenticated user's email. The file is stored privately in Firebase Storage and its signed link expires after 7 days. An automatic cleanup then deletes the object and marks the export as expired.

Freshness and availability

Message statistics normally update within seconds. Conversation and autonomy metrics may lag by approximately 60 minutes. Reliable consumption data is available from May 21, 2026.
